1. KZN-CPA is a private, registered non-profit organisation in terms of the Non Profit Organisation's Act (Act 71 of 1997) - Registration No 002-154 NPO.
2. KZN-CPA is registered as a "Public Benefit Organisation" in terms of Section 18A of the Income Tax Act (Act 58 of 1962). Donations to KZ-NCPA are tax deductable and no duty is charged on bequests made to it in Wills (SARS ref 8/11/13/379)
3. All donations received are used for the sole benefit and care of the Cerebral Palsied.
4. Only staff in the employment of the KZN-CPA are permitted to raise funds for the Association.
5. The names of our donors are never sold or divulged to other organisations without their permission.
6. Cerebral Palsied members are admitted to our Schools and Centres regardless of their race, colour or religion.
7. The KZN-CPA's books of account are audited annually and its financial statements are available on request or can be viewed at the office of the Director of Non Profit Organisations.
8. We do not receive funding from Community Chests and we are not Government Subsidised.
9. We do not appoint independent fundraisers or fundraising companies who in turn take a percentage of the profit for their own personal gain.
10. We were established in 1969, and for 41 years we have not received a Government Subsidy. We raise all our funds in-house.
